Let’s take a look back today at how some poker players managed to win their first trophy at the World Series of Poker (WSOP).
Poker is considered to be one of the most unpredictable and unfair forms of gambling. Especially MTT in a real-time gambling house format. It’s time to remember the gamblers who have known the rigours of the WSOP, but have been able to restore justice.
The World Series of Poker started back in late May 2022 and will run until 20 July. The grand gambling event has changed venues – Bally’s Casino and Paris. No one will say for sure whether the change of venue will affect the game.
Anatoly Zyrin, the owner of 2 World Series bracelets, told us that the WSOP is quite a specific thing, and the results for the whole year are hardly comparable.
To increase your chances of winning the coveted trophy, you need to:
All of these can add up to winning a bracelet. But, unfortunately, there are very few gamers who fit the criteria described above, and the most outstanding one is Urbanovich, who has been to the WSOP only twice. He could claim the trophy if he attended the event more often. Of the old-school professionals, Roland Izraelashvili and Allen Kassler come in. Zyrin himself has a couple of bracelets but does not play all the games and has only been to the WSOP twice.
Dan Smith is a unique Super High Roller and a WPT, EPT and PokerGO Tour champion with many prizes from tournaments played but still no bracelet. He has been spotted at every World Series event for 12 consecutive years, even winning 50 times, but unfortunately never made it to the lead. In 2021 at the online series he managed to get to the win, back in 2016 he got $3 million for 2nd place.
Now it’s time to discuss Isaac Haxton’s game. I can’t even believe this kid has been in poker for 20 years and has over a million dollars from his games. But he’s never made it, not once, to any of the prestigious series. Even 13 years ago he could have won the coveted trophy, but he could have been beaten by Vitaly Lunkin.
Here’s another contender for the bracelet – Alex Foxen. Just 3 WSOP tournaments away from catching up with his wife in terms of bracelets. It should be said that Kristen has earned 1 jewel taking part in the online, the other in the women’s tournament. Alex has won the GPI Player of the Year title for several years.
Shannon Schorr – Has won the WSOP Series of Poker 147 times but has never won a major trophy. He has competed in every World Series game for more than 15 years but has not had much luck.
Roland Izraelashvili holds the record for the most World Series cashes. His level of play is impressive, but that did not get him a bracelet.
Christoph Vogelsang is constantly stalling, but plays professionally. Some of his opponents think he has no chance of getting the jewel.
Adam Owen has many *COOP titles in various disciplines, but unfortunately he has not conquered offline. He plays in all levels and can achieve victory.
